I recently had the honor of hosting a panel discussion featuring FBI Director James Comey and RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson.
It was at the International Association of Chiefs of Police convention in Chicago. The IACP has long history of providing high quality education of timely law enforcement topics. It invites renowned keynote speakers, hosts a variety of forums and technical workshops, and has a large exhibit hall of products and services for the law enforcement community. Topics include terrorism, cyber crime and child pornography. The IACP Annual Conference & Expo is the largest and most important law enforcement event of the year – more than 14,000 public safety professionals attend to learn new techniques, advance their knowledge and careers and equip their department for ongoing success.
Earlier that same day, I delivered a presentation entitled “When the Headline Is You”, which addressed such sensitive issues as race relations between police and the community.
President Obama was also on hand to speak and in fact CNN carried his presentation live at this widely attended convention.
